Welcome to my website!
I am a National Institutes of Health Predoctoral Fellow at the Pennsylvania State University, and will complete my Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies by Spring 2010. As a lifespan developmental scientist, I take a positive approach to studying developmental and psychological processes and seek to understand the resources and strengths of young people and their families. My career goal is to conduct high-quality, theory-driven research that promotes a better understanding of the conditions under which children, adolescents, and young adults thrive. My scholarship is focused on examining the two domains of civic engagement and substance use, primarily among adolescents and their families.
